Product Introduction
Nonferric aluminum sulfate is a white crystalline substance with a specific gravity of 1.69. It readily absorbs moisture and forms lumps when stored in air for a long time. Its dehydration temperature is 86.5°C. It is soluble in water, acids, and alkalis. The aqueous solution is acidic and has a sour, astringent taste. According to Chemicalbook, it begins to decompose at 530°C and completes decomposition at 860°C, with the final decomposition product being r-Al₂O₃. During the hydrolysis of nonferric aluminum sulfate, the intermediate basic salt is first formed, followed by the formation of aluminum hydroxide.
